About Us

    Extempdex is a service that exists to provide speech teams with an up-to-date index of the most popular news sources in Extemporaneous speaking.  We strive to make Extempdex as useful, simple, and wide-reaching as possible.

    Extempdex was created in 2004 by Chris Conway, a former speech and debate captain and extemporaneous speaker who recognized the frustrations of trying to maintain an index of material to use in the Extemp prep room.  Chris took first place in Extemporaneous speaking several times and was chosen Speaker of the Year by his high school speech and debate team.
